Music Inspried by James Joyce

  • George Latimer Central Library 90 West 4th Street East Saint Paul, MN, 55101 United States (map)

Join us at the George Latimer Central Library in St. Paul for an afternoon of music inspired by the writings of James Joyce. Minnesota composer Tim Takach's new work from 2026 uses poetry from Joyce's collection Chamber Music, while Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu's work takes its inspiration from Finnegan's Wake. We will end with a work by another Minnesota composer, Libby Larsen, whose quartet is based on a specific passage from Ulysses. This concert is free and open to the public. https://sppl.bibliocommons.com/events/69e28c62f29b90618efea893
